A100 - Either analog or digital works but not both

I have a Popcorn A100 which is connected to my TV through a HDMI cable and to my Yamaha AV-set both with S/PDIF and the analog stereo cables.

Normally, everything plays fine. But for some movies, and for instance also for youTube, I have no audio. If I disconnect the S/PDIF cable I suddenly have audio in those cases, but then I don't have audio in the cases which played fine before. I.e. it looks like some audio is only played analog, which is not detected by the AV-receiver as it is listening to the digital connection.

The A100 uses the latest firmware.

The Audio settings are:
HDMI Audio: Off
Surround Mode: 5.1
DTS/AC3/AAC/WMA Pro: All Digital (RAW)

Any help appreciated
