Mutliple SMB Shares
Hi, sorry for eventual cross posting and such.

Im wondering if it is possible to have multiple shares on any of the boxes?

I know only ONE can be active at a time. But is it like xbmc where you can have several shares defined but only use one at a time ?

This is a big Go No Go questions since i dont want to have to re arrange my server, with huge drives/volumes just so i can have my TV shows and movies mounted.

No multiple shares active at the same time, sucks but thats how the firmware works today. There are some workarounds/hacks that use NTFS Junction points, which are similar to unix hard links to allow you to live with the one share issue.

I use junctions on NTFS with 4 external disk drives to achieve one share as far as NMT is concerned.

I use linkd.exe to do this. linkd.exe was part of the windows 2000 resource kit. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/205524. Now you find it in the 2003 resource kit. http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/detai...laylang=en

PCH A-100, A-110 & A-200

Well i was wondering if the UI can store multiple sharepoints, but only having one active at a time (Sorry for me not explaining further, it sounded good in my head on my first post Big Grin)

My server is a Linux box that holds my homedirectory for both the Mac and the Windows gaming station.
The server also runs a few other things for me.

The UI can can have 6 named shares(I think that is the limit, but if I'm wrong and it's more, great).

PCH A-100, A-110 & A-200
