execute a script
Hello,
I wonder if it is possible to run a script to the pch. In fact I have an external hard drive that I used to transfer files from my computer to the pch, and I know if a script it would be possible to automate the copy / paste. |

RE: execute a script
Sure, there's telnet/shellscript and php so you have the basics in place.

RE: execute a script
garp99; OP says he uses external drive for transferring files; so I guess that implies using a watchdog script for mounts, and some trigger to rsync or copy, move (whatever is preferred) the files.
OTOH, if it is possible to network the NMT, garp99 scores all points! If you are on the same LAN you can just use a decent FTP client featuring scheduling/mirroring etc. Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn. Wiki. Wiki? Wiki! |

RE: execute a script
The problem is that I'm wireless, the rate of transfer by FTP is 3 to 4 MB / s, while USB it should be much higher because it takes me 3 minutes for transfer 4 a 5 go against 30 min in FTP.
For now I use the File Mode to copy / paste my files. But for that script works, I'll address this in order to find a way to transfer more fun

RE: execute a script
go? is that Gigabyte?
If you have a 24/7-ish server you can let it trickle over wifi, but yeah it takes a long time if you have a batch. Best of luck with the scripting! I'm sure there are other users who would be very interested in such a solution. Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn. Wiki. Wiki? Wiki! |

RE: execute a script
Unfortunately no, I'm not gigabyte.
I shall therefore focus on the script, and I'd make a new topic when I find a good script that works ![]() Thank you for this information. Just a quick question that I forget: At the execution of the script, php Notament, how do I execute the pch? Let me explain, if I create a php script that I put on the hard disk, how to make the pch and executed? I should create a link on the index. Htm? |

RE: execute a script
To answer your original question.
Yes; you can: create a shell script and store it i.e. on the NMT's hdd's root (in effect /share). Then alter the start_app.sh and add the call to your script below the magic marker. Using ftp or shell set the execute permissions on your script file. If you want to go a step further you can create a AppInit application (CSI package format) which will allow you to use more nmt's features. http://nmtinstaller.com/?p=createpackage Good luck!
