DTS plays just fine, for 25 secs.
Hi there!
I brought a PCH A-110 last week and have been very happy with it. Except for one issue: When playing DTS (no matter what resolution it is. I've been trying 1080P, 720P, 576P) the movie starts playing flawlessly until aproximetly 25 seconds into the movie. After that the picture and sound starts jumping 5-15 seconds forward and no sound what so ever. I'm using the HDMI to deliver both sound and picture to an ONKYO surround-reciever. I've aloso tried to mixture with the audio and picture settings, such as resolutions, DTS-HD, DTS RAW, ANALOG PCM, and tried to switch the "Surround" option between Stereo and 5.1. NOTHING helps! Can anyone out ther tell me what I'm doing wrong? All help apriciated! P.S. I've also thougt about the buffering not being sufficent, or my network being to slow, streaming 54mbit/sec wireless to router (strong signal). PCH connected to router via 100mbit/sec network cable. Also, sorry for any bad spelling, my excuse; "I'm from Sweden!"

RE: DTS plays just fine, for 25 secs.
Where is the file from?
also please post mediainfo of the file in question? unless it's more than 1 file? also a wireless network isn't really always going to be able to provide a strong enough network for streaming unfortunately, my wireless g (I've spent a lot of time optimising it!) can stream DVD but nothing higher quality. |

RE: DTS plays just fine, for 25 secs.
Sorry, I've tied .mkv files in 1080P and 720P, but also a .iso in 576P (all with DTS) and none of the files works.
Any more information needed, just ask! Thanks for quick answer! |

RE: DTS plays just fine, for 25 secs.
Your symptoms are very clearly bandwith related - WIFI just doesnt cut it for streaming video.
Connect your source with 100mbit cable to your router and Im certain your problems will dissapear Living room: C200/A200/A100 HDMI to Pioneer KURO KRP-500A plasma / Denon AVR 3808 / KEF 5005.2 / B&W DM685 Kids room: C200/A110 HDMI to Panasonic 42PZ85, Optical to Logitech Z5500. Yeah, I'll try to copy an .MKV to a USB-HDD later this evening, I'm short of network-cable for the moment...

RE: DTS plays just fine, for 25 secs.
Solved!
I had som minutes to spare and borrowed a network cable from a neighbour, and there's the solution! The strange thing though is that i wasn't able to play MKV's from a USB harddrive... iso worked great, but not mkv's... Anyway, problem solved and thanks for a great forum! /Zapp |
