RE: Music Player Daemon (MPD) 2009-10-01 Re-Release
I must be getting old. I flipped between mono and mpd a dozen times after each of a half dozen reboots before I left this weekend. Now that I'm back, I am experiencing the same lockups. I'm really starting to wonder if Syabas is earmarking certain areas of what's left of the first dram bank without actually reserving it first.
For those of you having problems (and maybe those of you who are not just yet) change the ramdac in the mpd.conf file from 0 to 1. I see gaya allocating a scattering of small buffers out of it each time it starts through the normal memory management mechanism. So hopefully it's safe - yet overcrowded. |
