Kick all electronic devices to the curb
I want to clear my livingroom from all excess electronic devices, So the only things in it would be:

1 TV(with remote)
2 A-100(with remote)
3 Speakers with S/PDIF input.(i.g. logitech Z-4400)

Would this be considered a good setup?
Is it phisically possible for the A-100 to control the volume and sound of each speaker before it leaves into the s/pdif cable. If so, I could lose the remote of the speakers as well.

just in : my wife wants the occasional lightbulb in the livingroom as well. go figure. Tongue

You can't do individual volume control for each channel on the A100.

As far as I'm aware, when playing 5.1 sound in raw mode you can't change the volume on the PH at all. In this case the original audio stream from the media file is sent unchanged to the S/PDIF or HDMI output. Adjusting the volume would involve decoding and re-encoding the stream, leading to a loss in quality.

You will be able to adjust speaker volume on the Logitech control pod or remote...
