Telnet Login & Password
Hello all. Thank you in advance for your help and I am sorry if this has been covered elsewhere. I would like to configure my telnet client to prompt for a login and password when logging in. If this has been covered please just direct me to the thread, if not if someone knows that would be excelent. Thanks!

Hi all,
I have same question. I use telnetd installed with CSI. However no user & pw is prompted using telnet to my nmt. It automatically logs in with the 'root' user. How can I change this? |

I'd very much like to know that, too. I can change the password with 'passwd' but the telnetd itself doesn't even prompt for it.
I've also looked for info on http://lundman.net/wiki about enabling that, but have found nothing. If someone hacked into my wi-fi network and got into my NMT they could wipe it out completely. At least with the ftp server login there's a way to change the default password. |

Install dropbear/ssh, then disable telnet.
Or simply disable/kill telnet when you don't need it. Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn. Wiki. Wiki? Wiki! |
