Maybe that's the soluce is the selection of slideshow intervall?

not the slideshow interval which always set to minimum 5 but the autocreate slideshow selector which (as it's name suggest) create the slideshow for each album

I thought that this option was selected by default in my sample config , if not i will add this in the default.install to avoid the problem
