D'oh - my bad. I understand now: it's the "photos per page" setting. However, it does seem to ignore the image size setting, so I'll have a look around and see if I can find where it is coded to 12 photos across.

for the popout , edit JLRutaMJB-options.xml and change the value of dolph effect from 0,8 (default)to 1,0

for the 12 photos across it's inside JLRutaMJB-options.xml
adjust the number of thumb you want on the same line, this will resize the thumb

Thank you once again - changing the dolph from 1.0 fixed it.

There are so many references to thumbnail sizes in mjb and the cmd files, I thought this might be useful (please do say if it is incorrect):

mjb, index pages, image size = actual width of thumbnail used on index page (it is left unscaled) AND scaled width of thumbnail on the details page
mjb, details pages, image size = not used?
jlrutamjb, createthumb.cmd = actual width of thumbnail on the details page (scaled as above)
JLRutaMJB-options.xml, NbrPhoto_Thumb (calculates width) = max columns of thimbnails on details page (not sure if this does any scaling)
mjb, details pages, photos per page = total number of thumbnails on details page, moving to new rows if necessary



There's only one more problem I have (I think!): for some albums, when I click on a photo and press play, instead of showing the photo, it loads the MP3 player and tries to play the file as an audio file. Eventually, the audio player does start and shows the photo as the album cover. Weird!

look at the (just my memory, i'm not at home) the detail page inside MJB application , there is a set of value which allow to play music (or photo) with single or album, or shuffle , unselect what you don't want.

Thanks. On the General page, I have:
.MP1,.MP2,.MP3,.WMA,.WAV,.OGG,.AAC,.FLAC,.M4A
for the music extensions. Is that it? There is no JPG extension in there, so maybe it's a bug. (I don't think the MJB thread is used any more, so maybe I will have to start a new thread.)

1 - i read again your post, could you try to open the same file (the one which load the audio player) outside MJB just with the standard PCH browser, to check what player is called.

2 - if you run MJB with the play photo with song selected, it's possible that the audio player could start before the photo is displayed on the screen, with the word loading and the blue screen while the photo isn't still displayed

3 - when you said that the photo is displayed as album cover, could you give me more detail, does the name of the mp3 is displayed, cover album doesn't take all the screen, time of mp3 is displayed, ......


depending of your response the problem could be very different.

The file opens as a jpg file normally outside of mjb.

When I select the play option, I see "loading" in the top right for about 1/4 second and then it returns me to the thumbnails.

Yes: at the top of the screen where it normally shows the MP3 file name, it shows the JPG file name. For "Title", it also shows the jpg file name. "Artist", "Album" and "Genre" are all blank. Also, the image of the album cover is the photo itself.

could you try without the # to see if the problem disapears

i just took a quick look to see if it's easy or not - it will be very hard at this step, because it's a delimiter for xml itself.

i will ask if somebody could give me a solution, but i don't know by myself how to solve this limitation.

It probably be more quick (and perhaps real) to remove all # if you could make it.

I forgot to ask something: is there a recommended folder structure? For music, I have \\pch\music as the location of music and \\pch\music\Menu as the location of the menus (and I copy index.htm from \\pch\music\Menu to \\pch\music). But, if I use the same structure for photos (\\pch\photos and \\pch\photos\Menu) the creation of the menu includes the Menu folder itself! (I hope that makes sense.) So, is there a better folder structure to use?

your folder structure is OK, for my own config i use

\\pch\Music
\\pch\Photo
\\pch\MusicJukebox (where i store the menu)
\\pch\PhotoJukebox (as menu)
