So honestly I'm not hurtin at all and I get also get free unlimited movies from NetFlix right now along with unlimited TV. All for free and all on PlayON(just an occasional glitch I'm learning to work around). You said "YouTube didn't work any more with the Syabas link so I fired up PlayON to Youtube".....how did you do this and I wonder if it would work on an 100?

BBC iPlayer
PLEASE! This youtube removal thing makes me a lot less keen to go ahead and buy the c200, but adding iPlayer would definitely swing the deal for me. |

Well I will say it's something we are "exploring", but resources are thin as of late, so it's not coming "soon". The former Steve.Young in Blue. Onwards to greener pastures. |

RE: Youtube Discussion
Could someone explain to me what prevents end-users to install a link to Youtube identical to the one Syabas had installed? or to BBC iplayer for that fact?

RE: Youtube Discussion
PlayON is pay-once ($40 or lower in some cases) not a pay service. Then you get pretty much ALL web services. A cool new web site comes online, someone adds a plugin to PlayON, you get it (nice!). You can also use PlayON with Wii, XBOX and PS3.
This stuff with Syabas trying to negotiate and program for every new service is obviously not working IMHO. They need to negotiatiate with PlayON or similar(if they exist) so they can concentrate on what they do best (again IMHO).... go to http://www.playon.tv for free trial and more info (12-04-2009 07:18 PM)2cInHD Wrote: Doah....saw the answer to my question in the wiki. Well there's a PlayON plugin for it: http://www.playonplugins.com ![]() If you get a A100/110 (or nearly any other device) then you could access it. RE: Youtube Discussion
Playon requires a Windows PC and that PC has to be on and running while watching stuff through it on the PCH, so for many people that defeats the purpose of the PCH, you might as well use a HTPC and save yourself the 40$ for Playon...

RE: Youtube Discussion
No YouTube on my C-200, but still alive and kicking on the WDTV-Live.
Online video streaming has been interesting on the C-200; the buffer time is quit longer on the C-200 that the WDTV, regardless of channel. But connected to the same switch. C-200 (3rd Batch) - WD 1TB Green Internal connected via HDMI WDTV2-Live for the kids |
