Can this be confirmed or denied by Syabas ? If I can't ever get PIP sound mixed in, this player needs to go. I'd rather sell it when it's still worth something...

This is some interesting debate here, and I cannot but wonder what is a solution to this problem. I have a fair share of PIP blue ray disks and although they do give me sound, the reciever reports PCM. If I press info button, I see that I should be getting DTSHD.

Considering that core codecs from BD are not being read properly with the current firmware, can anyone from Syabas answer what this PCM really is?! If the previous statement about core codecs is true, that this PCM must be a decoded DTSHD sent in multichannel over HDMI which also doesn't make any sense since C200 doesn't have a licence to decode it!

Can we have some more clarification about this situation?

An furthermore, what is the general Syabas position on the future solving of the whole PIP BD media audio issue? More and more disks are made this way, and not to have bitstreaming of (at least main) audio tracks is just not acceptable for any blue ray player nowdays. I am well aware that more time is needed to deal with this issue, and I have accepted this, I just think it would be fair that we be informed what kind of solution is being worked on.
