Have now done a handful of SkyHD H264 1080P caps and thanks to Kaba I can now enjoy them on the Popcorn.

The difference from just lowering the brightness 5% on the Popcorn before the fix and using the correct Black Levels with the fix is huge.

Night and day difference. Well done.

Great little app. I have two questions, and since I don't speak German I was hoping that you might be able to post them over there for Kaba (I didn't see my answers while perusing a google translation of the thread)

Is there any drawback to running this application more than once on a file (with the "Change video-range" option selected) ?

What happens if this is run on a file that doesn't need the black levels fixed ? (IE: does it toggle the flag back ? or does it just do nothing ?)

Is there a way to check a file ahead of time to see if that flag needs to be set ? (and what are the valid and invalid values).

I have tried using h264_parse to check the h264 headers, but every file I checked had the same value of 1 for the video_full_range_flag parameter (those that I knew were set "wrong" and those I thought were fine)

ok, so far I have been able to get it to work on 90% of our files. I have one that for some reason it just won't set the black levels flag on. I also have another that plays "glitchy", but I don't think that last one is the fault of TS4NP, but rather I was hoping that Kaba could take a look and see if it is something that his program could possibly fix.

if someone could post in the German forum (who speaks German) and see when/if Kaba is ready for me to send some files, I can get them to him.
