Oversight: need some help with file naming and rescanning.
I'm quite new to the Popcorn Hour and don't have any experience with these kind of devices at all. I do have some experience in the computer business though, so I got my C200 up and running without a glitch in no time. After playing with it for a couple of days, downloading a few movies using NZBget and watching using the native C200 interface, I installed Oversight (r561) using Ger Teunis's NMT Community Software Installer (cool tool; take a look, download & install and definitely donate). Oversight looks nice and works quite well. I'm having a few issues though:

1. I could use some help with naming (some of) my files, in particular TV series DVD's. I read the Oversight wiki, so I realize this is still somewhat of a problem for Oversight, but maybe there are some ways how to best organize and name the various directories and files, as to help Oversight obtain the best results.
2. Once proper renaming is done, I need to rescan the media media sources involved. The wiki says to first "delist" the items concerned and then rescan only changed items. The latter is not a problem, but I can't figure out how to "delist" items. I can mark them, but don't know how to "delist" them.

Some help is much appreciated.

RE: Oversight: need some help with file naming and rescanning.
Hi, This is one area I'll be looking at soon. As I too have a few TV series DVDs and would like them indexed.

I would suggest initially just using a sensible naming convention (eg something that is accepted by YAMJ) ,
and accept that they will not look nice in Oversight, yet.

An alternative , to get them in the current version of oversight, is to rename them according to the first episode number. But this is a bit yucky... eg.

lost.....s1e01.......iso
lost.....s1e05.......iso

Thanx for the swift reply. I'll give your suggetsions a try.

How about rescanning and "delist" items? Can you shed some light on that as well?

To delist an item, select the dustbin/delete icon , and then chose the DeList or "Remove From List" option.
