Porting Skins between Jukeboxes

How easy is it to port skins from one jukebox to another? Some jukebox skins seem to use the same basic .xsl files (index.xsl and details.xsl). To port to a different jukebox would you not just have to point to the correct data elements in the new jukebox? Would it make it easier to create and/or port skins if the jukeboxes published a "data model" defining the data elements/xml tags that are available within the jukebox?

Between yamj and my lil... ya its just a matter of changing the data calls. The only differences are in the xml files for each. Where yamj might call a title <titlesort> my lil might call it <title> or something like that.

So any instance in the skin that calls titlesort... would need to be changed to title.

It wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world... but it would be a pain.

Now... umc, oversight, and movieflow are a whole different animal...so those would be much harder.
