RE: TankTV (AppleTV Clone & Gaya replacement)
@beezer: great job with the new additions to TankTV!

sorry i've had to put this project on temporary hold since i've recently started working fulltime on a new startup company... hopefully i'll find some time soon to at least add playlists and incorporate and clean up beezer's cover art additions.

Hey Vinayp,

I'm going to add a few more features, like TV show support & then I'll send the source code to you. You can integrate it if you think it's good enough, or you can completely re-implement in your own way if you like. I certainly won't be offended. I'll just be glad that the project is progressing. Let me know where I should send the source.

I won't be releasing this to anyone else either as source or binary. The last thing this project needs at this stage is a fork.

RE: TankTV (AppleTV Clone & Gaya replacement)
Well, it is a little quiet lately around TankTV which is mainly because I'm very poor on spare time, currently. My private situation does not allow me to spend the hours every week to get some serious development done.

I'm currently working the concept of a scriptable GUI, which should allow the user to tweak the TankTV appearance and add new items without much effort. But again, it goes very slowly....

I hope to see the features of Beezer included on a short term.. I'm really looking towards it!

SoloHan.

Great news! I was kinda afraid you had killed the project.

Cheers!

RE: TankTV (AppleTV Clone & Gaya replacement)
It's not dead. But I'm the only active developer currently and my spare time is very limited.

I'm currently working an a full rewrite of the code to make it more open an adjustable by others. I have already rewritten large GUI parts in Lua (script), so anyone with a descent knowledge of programming should be able to adjust the look-and-feel with only an text editor!

The only GUI part which is not yet finished is the Audio select and playback GUI. When this is finished, I am planning to release the first version, which should be feature equal to the original TankTV 0.0.2 release.

But again, my time is limited so progress is going slow.

SoloHan.

Hmm! 4 months seems dead to me Dodgy

That's unfortunate but hopefully the current code will get put up for others to take over the project.
