NMT apps gone after firmware update
I just installed the latest firmware for A-110 released yesterday. After that my harddrive was renamed to HARD_DRIVE_A3 and all my NMT apps was gone. I have read in the forum that many people have had this problem. I found a solution to the problem that almost work here:
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i..._hard_disk The problem is that if you look at step 3 it says: Quote:If you get an error saying there is no upgrade available, you need to change the version to an earlier release in the file: I have exakt that problem. My apps will not install beqause it says that there is no upgrade. So how do I change this file that is mentioned? Please help. I can no longer transfer stuff to my popcorn since smb and ftp isnt running.

RE: NMT apps gone after firmware update
I had exactly the same problem. Updating the firmware was no problem but updating thhe MNT applications I got an 'Invalid Source' error and after a reboot all MNT applications where gone
![]() I hooked up the A-110 direct to my PC and with help of MNT Wiki I was able to make a telnet connection again. After following the step as described I got the update NMT without loosing all my data screen and did an update. This time I got an error 'Update failed, please restart'. After resetting suddenly I have all NMT application back ![]() It's the previous version '00-17-090115-15-POP-403' and I really don't how this happend but at this moment I won't change anything before reading more about this new firmware version. Maybe I will go back to the June version.... About your question: In the VERSION file only a sting like '00-17-090115-15-POP-403' is written. I have used VI to read it, but I noticed that before I installed the NMT applications I was not able to use VI. I think you need another editor, in this thread you will find more info about text editors in the PCH Maybe this helps you to solve the problem! |

At first I also thought about using VI, but the popcorn didn't support it. I found no command that worked for editing a file. Since the NMT apps was gone so was also FTP and SMB server, so I couldn't connect into it to change the file. Then I remembered! The USB cable that came with the popcorn. I have never used it before, but I tried hooking it up to my pc and right away i found my popcorn mounted and could be used like any other external harddrive. So I managed to change the version info in the VERSION file and this time updating the apps went fine
