Hulu/Adobe support will be possible
Hey everyone I just read a article on how Adobe is opening the format for their video streaming to allow it to be used on more devices. I really hope syabas jumps on the bandwagon as they would be able then to support Hulu/Most Video Streaming/Direct Support for You Tube/etc..

Here is the link to the news release.

edit: also read they are removing licensing fee's for Adobe Flash on devices (aka popcorn hour)

Very exciting news.

RE: Hulu/Adobe support will be possible
i've heard rumors (not from anyone at syabas or on this forums actually) that hulu has a terms of service similar to youtube's new ones that would prevent it from being tied into most set top devices such as the PCH.

Obviously thats not official news... as i've never personally bothered to even read the terms of service, but when i was talking to a friend about youtube's new policy, he mentioned that hulu does something similar.

So take it with a grain of salt.

RE: Hulu/Adobe support will be possible
You will not be able to get Hulu or youtube on any of these devices unless the company cuts them 7 figure check.

Yea, sucks i know but thats the way it is.

If it works now its only a matter of time before they patch it to lock out outstanding devices.

PCH A-200 16GB USB -> HDMI -> Samsung LN46A650 | A200 -> Toslink -> Logitech Z-5500 (Harmony 700)

RE: Hulu/Adobe support will be possible
In that case, what would it take to get PlayOn fully supported on the C-200? I only ask because I don't have my PCH yet (tomorrow hopefully!) and don't have the expertise to answer my own question yet.... Smile

EDIT: hehe browsing the forum a few hours in another location after my original question gave me the answer: Big Grin

RE: Hulu/Adobe support will be possible
it seems the c200 will be like the sling cathcer a usless box that does not live up to its promise. I just got mine a few weeks ago. It is a great divice, tut it is very big and hard to use. I instlaed serverl services and most do not work at all or work poorly. I tryed sopcast only could get the discovery channel to play in a small box screen that was way to annoying and bad quality to watch. streaming music is poor aslo, only has the lame web radio stations with very few that are of any use. I think this device could be very good, but I feel it will end up like the Sling Catcher defice
