Can I play a self provided shoutcast link?
Hi,
Is it possible on my C-200 to let it play a shoutcast address I provide? On my pc I can use http://<ip address>:<portnumber>/listen.pls, on my xbox I can use: MMS://<ip adress>:<portnumber>. Please understand I don't mean browsing through the shoutcast-channels, just like to play a specified ip-adress. I am wandering if my C-200 can do this also. Thanks, Hekkie |

RE: Can I play a self provided shoutcast link?
I don't do this myself but im sure i saw something recently about the C200 being able to play MMS streams.
Now that doesn't mean that you can simply add a MMS stream it may have to be called something else but will so most importantly play. This is a webservice rather than audio query so i'll move it there to see if someone who uses webservice links can advise. Have a read here:- http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...Webstreams and more importantly here:- http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...ylist_File A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

OK, thanks. I tried to open a html-file with links to this shoutcast address (I used MMS) but it did not work.

It's possible, but you'll have to use your WAN IP adres (address on the internet) in stead of your local IP adres of your computer.

OK, I tried a link in a HTML-file to do this: <a href="mms://ip-adress:portnumber">click here for radio</a> But it did not work. ![]() I read elsewhere on the forum it only works for WMA-music. I don't understand this. Can anyone tell me what it means? |
