Sleek problem
Hi,
I've got Sleek ( http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...696&page=1 ) running, but also want to access my Mac's dvd drive ( http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i..._DVD_Drive just over half way down). I've set up the DVD stuff as per the guide, but Sleek is preventing me accessing the correct menu to play the dvd. Does anyone know how i can either bypass Sleek....or better still link the picture button on the Sleek interface to playing whatever dvd is in my mac's drive? Ta, Ed Also, i have just tried doing this on my Vista laptop instead, by simply sharing the DVD drive, and whilst i can browse to the share on my A110, it won't play properly...i am trying to play a retail dvd if this helps, it doesn't give a simple play option but rather splits the dvd into audio and video_ts options when i access the shared dvd drive at the moment. |

Quote:i am trying to play a retail dvd if this helps There's your problem I think. Retail DVD playback is not supported. Maybe with AnyDVD running, it would work, but I am not totally sure. Media tank:A-100 & C-200 TV:Panasonic TH-50PY800MT (HDMI) Audio:Logitech Z-5500 (Coaxial) |

RE: Sleek problem
ahh no, i managed to get Little Miss Sunshine to play through the Mac's dvd drive last night, its just the only way i can access it atm is to go through alot of menu's, as sleek is hiding access to the top level sources menu. (i think).
Only problem was the speed of my network in terms of wirelessly streaming it over to the pch and onto the telly. |

RE: Sleek problem
Your post is a little confussing. You want to play a retail DVD thats still on a DVD from your mac's/laptop dvd drive?
If this is the case then as far as i am aware, you need to share the drive then use the network menu to browse to the share. When you say sleek is hiding access to the top level menu what do you mean? When you click on the Home icon that takes you to your devices menu where HD,usb, network and network shares are, and according to the guide in the link above you just need to add a network share to your mac's dvd drive, once that is done, the share should show in the list. How many network shares have you setup, as you can only have 1 mounted at any one time My Popcorn Hour A110 Trakt.tv (TESTING)

RE: Sleek problem
Ive done a bit of testing and as long as you mounted the dvd-rom as a share it should play fine. I used a non copyrighted DVD as i not have a mac and CBA to setup the stuff needed to play back css dvd's
If you want to play direct off the Sleek menu then your share must be auto mounted (look for the script that does this) then in the sleek html page, add the following Code: <A HREF="file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/CDROM/VIDEO_TS" TVID="Play" zcd="2"></A>I shared my dvd-rom as "CDROM" and i used the "PLAY" button to start playback. Also please note that the version of sleek your running is not the same as in the other thread you linked to. Its mostly the same code, but ive changed stuff to get it working on my A110 and to make it install/uninstall through the CSI. Hope this help you. My Popcorn Hour A110 Trakt.tv (TESTING)
