NMT remote iPhone native app.
I know a lot of people have been waiting for something like this, it came out yesterday on the Apple app store, it's 2 bucks.

I've been testing it since yesterday on my A110 and it works great.
Cool you can browse your music collection on the iPhone/Touch while listening to other stuff.

App Store link here

RE: NMT remote iPhone native app.
Anyone know if it works on the 200 series? How does this work anyway? Does it require nmtapps installed?

RE: NMT remote iPhone native app.
It should be made more clear if it's for 100-series and / or the 200-series; from what I can read on the description on the iTunes shop looks like it's 100-series only.

Regardless, it looks like a nice app, will be interesting to read the reviews from users!

The author(s) of this app would probably benefit from having a thread on this board (this one?) for support, questions and comments.

RE: NMT remote iPhone native app.
Why do you think that it is 100-series only? IMHO is it using WiFi on the Iphone/Touch. So it would require WiFI on the NMT player? And the codes are the same for NMT devices aren´t they?

RE: NMT remote iPhone native app.
Hello to everyone,

I just managed to get this app approved a few days ago. Apple asked me to post them a video.

I've been working quitely on this app for quite a while. Biggest problem was the UI. I tried to follow apple guide lines as much as i could.

I'll be glad to answer any questions. Also if you have requests for features i will look into them.

I don't know if it works with the c200 or a200 but i'm waiting for my a200 to test it.
nmtapps are not required. Only busybox26 is required.

Thank you.
Teo

Great work. I'm guessing that busybox26 is some sort of app that needs to be installed on the NMT? That's what I was asking really... Don't wat a HD in my PCH I'm afraid.

Keep up the good work though...

RE: NMT remote iPhone native app.
Yeah I just bought the app but I have a C-200 with no hard drive, can busybox26 be installed on a USB stick ???

Popcorn Hour A-400, C-200 and A-200 connected to an HP N54L Microserver running Windows 8.1. Run Plex and stream to Popcorns and iOS devices.

RE: NMT remote iPhone native app.
Busybox is a package of Linux standard commands and utilities. To install it a HDD is needed.

RE: NMT remote iPhone native app.
Well to be honest I don't have an HD either installed in my PCH because i don't like the idea.

I have a the busybox installer on my NAS or on a usb flash drive and install it in the /tmp directory.

I'll be installing a 16GB compact flash using a SATA to CF adapter i got of ebay. This way i can have the nmtapps i want installed permanently.

Can you explain? I have a Windows Home Server - I could install cygwin or even run a linux distro in a VM. If I did this, would I be able to use the app?

There is no need to.

Follow Lundman's wiki (http://www.lundman.net/wiki/index.php/NMT:telnetd) and run the installer on your PCH from a USB stick.
Select install to /tmp directory.

This /tmp directory is located in the internal memory of PCH.

If you reset you pch you will need to install again to tmp.

You can also install it on the USBA or B. There is a setting in the iphone app which indicates where the busybox26 is located (Internal memory, hard disk, usb a, usb b)

Yes it can. Follow Lundman's wiki

http://www.lundman.net/wiki/index.php/NMT:telnetd

I don't know if it will work with the C-200. I'm waiting for my A-200 to test it.

I reset it quite a lot! Looks like I don't need cygwin. I can just create an NFS share (I use HanwinNFS) and run from that... Or use a usb stick.

You mentioned that you can run the app with the location of busybox defined as USB. Can you confirm that you can do this with the location on an NFS share?
