MPD Web-Radio with NOW PLAYING!!!!

Hi everyone!

Since getting my NMT I was looking for a way to listen to webradio and see Now Playing information (without the need to use PC app such as Swisscenter of GB-PVR). Cause playing Guess the tune game isn't was one would expect from radio listening.

And I found a way which given someone with PHP knowledge efforts can turn into a full fledged CSI package... or get integrated into MPDJB...or something else.

I stumbled upon a post from Chompy about getting old phpMP (http://mpd.wikia.com/wiki/Client:PhpMp) webclient for MPD to work on NMT. I did as he said here http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid177232 and it worked. yes it ugly and some function don't work. BUT it does the most important thing (for me at least):
If you use PC client for MPD and add radio streams to playlist... then you can use phpMP to play these streams and it shows NOW PLAYING almost realtime (you can set refresh frequency in config.php file.) with not only artist and song names but also bitrate and song length!!!. The downside is that right after start you can see only IP of stations, but when you start one ... it shows station name too.

I made it as Webservice and now can listen to radio (which I couldn't before because of absence of NOW PLAYING info).

I wonder if someone with PHP knowledge could modify phpMP code to turn it into a special package for radio listening. I would expect many to be happy!

Actually, I've made a makeshift one screen Webradio tuner off phpMP myself.
Just deleted from index.php these lines:

and added some images, so now as I launch it... it shows this screen:


As for MPD playlist edit, I use QMPDClient, which as I already mentioned has Shoutcast directory.
