A110 not booting
I use my A110 everyday, but last Friday when I was going to transfer new files to my popcorn I noticed that I couldn't connect to it. So I turned it off on the back side and turned it on again.
A few minutes later when I tried to connect to it, I still couldn't connect, so i turned on the TV and the loading screen is shown, but nothing more happens. I then restarted it again and went to do some other stuff for an hour. When I came back it still says loading ![]() I have not done any settings or installed/uninstalled any program for at least a month, so I'm afraid something is broken. What can I test to try and fix this? I'm running the firmware and apps from december. |

RE: A110 not booting
unplug everything, HDD, usb connections, ethernet, then try again. Hopefully this will cure it, my NMT's have occasionally acted like this then been fine after unplugging everything for a restart then plugging it back in once booted. (obviously you can't plug the HDD back in whilst booted but miner, once booted have then been ok to turn off, reconnect and restart with no errors.
Unfortunately this is how my A-110 died in the end, I believe it's a memory issue in my case. ie would not get past the loading screen. You may be able to try a FW recovery if you still can't get it going, there are obviously several issues that can cause this behaviour. |

I first unplugged everything except the internal HDD and that did not solve it. I then unplugged the HDD aswell and then it started again. Plugged the HDD and everything else back and it still starts ![]() Thanks again. I hope this does not happen again. Crap! It was too good to be true. I know whats causing this now. When I have the network cable connected to it, it wont boot up. If i remove it and start it, it will boot up ok. If I then connect the network cable to it, it will not get any ip adress even though its configured to auto get ip. I tried connecting a laptop to the same cable and the laptop gets an ip and can browse the web. Any more ideas? |
