Hello..

I have had a LOT of pleasure of my A-100 for several years now. I mainly use it to watch movies.

It doesn't read RMVB, but I do not care. Never liked Real Media.

The only thing I have problem with are some MKV files that freezes after aprox 30-50 minutes. First the picture freezes and then after another 2-3 minutes, the sound and the whole NMT freezes. I then have to pull the power to restart it. I think that all of these MKV files have SUBS inside.

Other MKV files that I use with external subs work fine.
(Hmmm... Have not tested the problem MKV's with external subs...)

However after reading in this forum I get the feeling that this internat SUBS in MKV problem has never been fixed for the A-100... Or am I wrong..?

Will a firmware update fix the freezing problem on MKV files with subs inside?
If not I will skip it.. (Why fix a working thing!? )

Sorry Sammy, you have gotten it wrong. Internal subs in MKV has NEVER been a problem. Your freezing problem must be something else.
Also A-100 CAN render RMVB through MyIHome server. Myself seen several RMVB movies/TV-series that way.

Hmmm.. Okey.. Mine has never been able to show rmvb files. Then I guess You have a newer firmware than me.
What firmware version do You have..?

Please read up about MyIhome & RMVB in Wiki/forum. Video rendering is done through realtime transcoding by MyIHome. Not dependent on any specific A-100 firmware.

Over here a problem with the BT 1.75

Sometimes it is not accesseable via the menu option or
the web interface. Seems instable.

Same here, I can't access BT since the upgrade. The torrent client is running, but I can't access the web or TV Gui. I have tried to reset to factory settings and reinstalling without formatting, but nothing was fixed.

My popcorn hour went blank when i changed my video from 720 p to 1080p. Now it just loads and goes blank after that, ive already tired it on different tvs and rca's aswell. Has anyone had this problem before.

RCAs? You are using Component cables, right? You might have selected 'HDMI>1080p' on the A-100 settings instead of 'Component>1080p'. Check it out.
In any case, you can get rid of blank screen by using 'TV Mode>0' on remote.

Got a new and serious problem

Some mkv with high bitrate are now choppy from ethernet. Video skips a lot of frames and audio doesn't work. Same mkv is ok if i read it from USB.

I guess there is something wrong with the transfar rate in smb, i didn't change anything in my lan.

Another issue that i have since long time is that my poppy doesn's play mkv files if i turn on it from a cold boot (plugging power cord). I need to use the remote to press turn off and eject and after the reboot the mkv plays correctly.
Before reboot it goes in buffering but return in the files list. No problem with avi files.

Just to be complete, mkv doesn't work at first try in about 80% of times. Some time it works correctly.

Any idea?

When you pull out the power cord without performing a proper shutdown via remote you can corrupt your hard disk if there are reading/writing operations going on. Always use the remote to shut down before you pull out the plug, unless it is absolute necessary.

Hi, there is not hard drive in my poppy, everything is from ethernet.

The old 'blue' BT interface can't be accesses via de remote control or web anymore. The new interface however is accessable.

Got a same sort of problem with my A-110, the old interface in harde to access then in the past. Seems somebody did something structurely wrong ....

I have issue with audio DTS when watching HD blue-ray .MKV files. Will there be fix for that?

I have the PCH100 for almost 2 years now. it is capable but i am still waiting for stop/resume support for ISO, and write onto NTFS. still cannot do 16x and 32x forward.

My work colleagues bought Astone, and Noontec player, they are cheaper than PopCorn and can do 16x, 32x forward.

Hopefully they will include this into the next firmware
