If you're going to do the Fresh Apps install then it will be properly aligned.

Anyone tried? hi, I have read release notes for A-200 ( 17 December 2010 02-04-101208-21-POP-411-000 ) and there is no information related with 4k problem. Anyway do you have any information about update FW of A-110 related with 4k sectors HDD issue? I think that it is no problem to update kernel of linux for A-110 because all new disks since 2011 have 4k sectors and all users which have A-110 and will buy new disk have problem. I hope that producer of A-110 will made this update. |

RE: Setting up a Western Digital EARS (4kb) HDD
Hi everyone,
One question. When i bought and installed my WD EARS 2TB I didn't know about the 4 KB alignment. I inserted it into my A-210 and made a fresh install of the nmt apps including format of the drive. Was there an option to choose the format of the 4kb alignment, or should it happened automatically, because i can't remeber and I am really worried now On the other hand, if i was able to make a fresh installation of the NMT-Tools, is this a prove that the hard drive is aligned correcly? How can i check this. Would be glad if someone could help me with this. kind regards. |
