I spend lots of money on contact lenses so I don't have to wear glasses all day; now tv manufacturers want me to wear big, bulky glasses to watch tv and movies? No thanks. If parallax 3d technology becomes popular, maybe I'll invest, but otherwise tv manufacturers can keep their 3d technology.

Whats the point in getting all excited about 3D. It hasn't been standardized nor much new movie content in 3D for consumers to buy. Like Avatar 3D is anywhere to be seen besides in a Theatre. I work as a projectionist and still have the Avatar trailer 2 3D trailer in the Sony 4K DLP 3D projector. Did you know Avatar 3D was 270gigs!! Thats not the Imax version either.

Not sure if this would apply to the SMP8643, though. Interesting none the less. I personally don't care as there's no chance in hell I would swap out my beloved Kuro anytime soon.

You're not going to be able to display 1080p 3D video unless you have HDMI 1.4 so the PCH might do lower res 3D but not 1080p.

3D bluray compatibility ?
Hi all,
Sorry if is not in the correct topic I put there I think is more related to hardware also. Someone know if the C200 will be compatible to play 3D bluray format that is coming slowly recently ? I dont speak about red and blue version, i'm speaking about polarized.... Thanks, popyo |

Polarized 3d isnt coming either yet. its lcd shutter glasses they are using now. and no the c200 is not supposed to be 3d compatible but that is not written in stone anywhere.
