Haali spliter needs to be tweaked or updated, since VC1 is juddering/stuttering every few seconds in MKV container.

Not a problem for me since Im having my remuxes in transport streams, but for others who are remuxing into mkv they sure needs a flawless video playback first, than HD bitstreaming.

Anyway, my most anticipated feature is finally coming to C200 and the beloved A110 will get moved upstairs.

With .mkv there are even bigger fish to fry as you can't even skip chapters in a VC1 file currently without the playback locking up.

Let's hope that with this new SDK they can finally put some of these annoyances to rest.

UPDATE: UPLOADED THE VIDEO AGAIN WITH AUDIO NOW, SORRY

Maybe it's just me, I read quite some comments that DTS-HD isn't passed through. Though the other day I started an mkv file and the PCH showed DTS-HD ( i never saw that since most my mkv's are normal DTS and DD). My new Onkyo 807 picked it up straight away and showed DTS-HD HR. So from what I hear here that shouldn't be possible ? It was with the may firmware.

Can I ask where you got the sample clips ? Would like to try if it's just me or if it works anyway.

Mind you it's knacked a couple of the existinf formats that were fine so let's hope they get fixed before release.

Me too, as ridiculous as it may sound, I think most of us enjoy knowing how the testing is going. Most of us are probably tech savvy, despite not being coders. Some of us are also fickle and impatient, so while you guys are hard at work detecting bugs, fixing bugs, retesting, etc ad nauseum, we who know nothing irrationally start loudly complaining and publicly stating we're sending our units back. (no offence, guys, I understand. I bought a onkyo sr-607 in anticipation of the a-200's arrival... early March.)

Great idea with the beta thread, but the slow updates get some very antsy, likely making you all irritated and unmotivated. Smile

We are rapidly approaching the two month mark from when this video was shown off and over a month from when the first Beta was released. When is Syabas going to give us some status and an idea of when this is going to be available?

just keep watching the beta threads. There has only been two beta releases so far for the new sdk. One a month ago then one on the 18th wich also contained the new UI. The next release is a big release with lots of tweaking needed even if they dont include the new UI. There has been samba issues on the new sdk for some people so if it was released now a lot of people would be upset.

Hi im new here my englisch is not so good.

When i play a movie with True-HD (.ts) or DTS-HD (.mkv) my reciever says, Dolby Digital or DTS Huh

I got a A-200 PCH and a Onkyo TX-SR507 AV reciever, connected whit a hdmi 1.3c cable.
Files are played from a external usb drive (1.5tb WD)

Sound settings are:
HDMI Audio: ON
Surround Mode: 5.1
AAC: PCM
WMAPro: PCM
DTS: RAW
Dolby Digital: RAW
-DRC: ON

I also got the newest firmware update from may 14 2010.

What am i doing wrong, or am i missing someting?

Hope someone can help me Big Grin

The firmware from may 14th ... doesn't have the new sdk yet ... so wait till the new ones comes out ... this week ... or maybe the next if there are some issues still Smile

The files are the TrueHd and DTS-HD test files from DTS and Dolby.
