So there are some bugs or were other features that did not work right away. But basically the A100 when it was first available, blew the doors off anything else that was available, even with the warts. The current 200 series is still the best thing going. The major reason i'll never go back to an htpc and xbmc is the lack of full remote control functions.

The Windows version of XBMC takes too much fiddling around, the remote doesn't work straight away, I'm pretty sure 23.976 is a problem in windows too, XBMC only outputs to 24hz and hardware acceleration doesn't work in windows without using Alpha versions. The next version will support ION on Windows so I'll consider it then, but right now I can't.
I wish you didn't have to fiddle around with getting all the remote buttons working in windows too. (06-20-2010 02:36 PM)int15 Wrote: That's the funniest thing I've read in a while. The A100 is so stable now I have 0 problems with it at all. XBMC I have plenty of problems with but I put up with it. However, for my parents I've kept them on an A100 as it's just much more stable and easier to use. |

That is until you have files with DTS sound wich drops out or want to play two 2 mkv's 1080p after each other without rebooting (these are to most anoying bugs I think, there are plenty more. These are also the reason I'm thinking of replacing the A-110 by a HTPC with XBMC) |

My DTS Audio works perfectly, no drop outs at all on both my amps. And I can play 2 1080p MKV's fine. Are you using the latest firmware?
BTW found this program that makes the MCE remote work perfectly with XBMC in Windows with 0 setup! |

ugh... EJP said that there would not be any more regular updates, but the last xbmc-nmt news was one month ago...
Come on ![]() The mediaplayer 'scene' (talking about the brands, not homebrew dev) is so disappointing and slow, that would really stir up things. |

Mine doesn't and I can't remember the last time it did. PCH A-100 http://www.streamernation.com |

I reboot my A100 more now on the current firmware than I had to before I updated (finally updated a week ago or so). I'd say once each week or every other week i get to the point where nothing plays, and rebooting fixes it. |
