Psiloc IRremote Control PCH with Nokia Smartphone

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd share this with you, I recently downloaded an application for my Nokia which allows you to control all your audio and visual equipment via the infared on your phone, Couldn't believe it when I found the correct profile for my TV and it actually worked.

Anyway after fiddling about with it for a bit, I realised their was no profile for the PCH so using the remote control hex codes here referenced against
Pronto codes that have their commands listed I was able to create a fully working profile for the PCH, which I can happily say works a treat on my A110.

I have a Nokia E51 and this works well upto 3 metres, but according to the website the distance varies from model to model and sometimes within the same model, so no promises, but its pretty cool to use even if you have to reach your arm right out.

I set up the Popcorn Profile on the DVD template which I think works well, I could of got more functionality using one of the others but I don't think your going to completely replace the remote with a symbian phone, so IMO no point trying, which is why the ability to play, stop, pause, skip, forward etc is enough.

Its likely the it'll also work on the A100 too, but I can't confirm, Phones it'll work on are all Nokias that run the Series 60 3rd Edition OS, therefore all phones with the feature pack 1 and 2 will also run it, its possible some other brands of phone may be able to run it too, but only those that use the Symbian OS.

Common phones eg N95, N80, N73, E61.

Obviously tho' the phone must have an IR port, and you must be pointing the port at the Popcorn for it too work.
