HTML problem: ol + img
On my A110 running firmware 01-17-100317-15-POP-403, the following HTML gives me grief:
Code:
<html>
<body>
  <ol>
   <li><img src="http://www.networkedmediatank.com/images/logo.gif">
  </ol>
</body>
</html>

By grief I mean, the first time I load it, it's fine. If I then hit [Repeat] to reload the page, the image doesn't load. Typical blank box place holder for broken image links. If I reload a third time, I just get the spinning wheel forever. Never finishes.

At this point, the browser is pretty much hosed. Every action from now on requires hitting the [Stop] key afterwards. Want to go to the home page? [Home][Stop]. Want to select an item? [Enter][Stop]. Reboot fixes that.

Changing the ordered list to an unordered list ( ol -> ul in both opening and closing tag), no problem.

I've tried a number of different image URLs, trying each of jpg, gif, png, just in case it was something wonky there. No difference.

Can anyone else reproduce this problem? If so, is this an already known issue? I did quite a bit of searching before posting this, and couldn't find anything appropriate.

Thanks.

Hello!

Did you try to close the li tag as well after the img?

RE: HTML problem: ol + img
The initial page I built had the closing tag, but as I as hacking things out left and right trying to trim it down to a minimal example, it got cut.

So, I'll try it again later when I get back home, but I don't expect it to make any difference.

And it works without problems with an unordered list, so again, still not expecting it to work any better.

I don't think lists are actually supported in the pch browser actually... Theres a CSS page of things the pch does support if you wanna check that out. Its in the wiki under the development section

Pannasonic Plasma 50" -->HK254-->Emotiva xpa-5 & upa-2
A100 w/ 500gb HDD, A200 w/ mn100, c200 w/ 2.5" 250gb
Calm 2.1, YAMJ - Redefined 1.8a skin, Music Jukebox 8
WHS ex490 w/ 2.5tb's

Is the example in the OP really the actual file contents or a simplified sample?
I ask because I remember having issues with external CSS files some time ago.
(At work, cannot test for reproduction myself atm)

Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn.
Wiki. Wiki? Wiki!

I had looked at the various pages on the matter before posting. This one, for instance:

http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...TML_on_NMT

It doesn't mention lists as a known limitation. If they weren't supported, I'd expect it to be listed there.

Unordered lists do give me bullets like on a regular browser. And an ordered list does number them properly. So they appear to have some level of support.

The original sample does give me a problem. I worked it down to that minimal case first.

Mostly I'm hoping to get confirmation from another PCH user that, yes, this fails for them too, before I file a bug report. Either that or, yes, it's a known issue which you can see documented at .....

Finally had a chance to test with closing the li tag. Still fails.

@nex

Nice... as you discover things, would you mind entering them into the wiki?
