Playing a single .mp3 file?

Maybe someone here can help me - how do you play a (single) .mp3 file? All my efforts so far have ended in failure. I've tried "pod", "aod" and various other attributes. I know it's able to find the files because if I just say

with no other attributes, the NMT helpfully attempts to display it as text :? so I see a blank screen with the letters "ID3" displayed. I'm not sure that's what anyone would want to happen when clicking on an MP3 file, but the ways of Syabas are inscrutable. With "pod=2" and other variants, the iSTAR blanks the screen and after a second or two, brings me back to my HTML page with no indication of what might have gone wrong.

Suggestions and ideas gratefully appreciated... thanks in advance!

Unbelievable. I have that aod attribute in my test .html file - five or six variants thereof. When I tried it last night, no go. When I tried it again just now (admittedly the iSTAR has been powered off until now), it works! Shame their MP3 media player is so basic, I'm sure it'll get better...

Maybe I was too tired last night or something... or perhaps I shouldn't have had that seventeenth beer...
