Thanks everybody with your help but I still haven't manage to find a solution to this boring problem.
Some tests: I can play those videos from the USB drive on the Mac and on the PC. NTFS acls for the file: Everyone: (OI) (CI) F Creator owner: (OI) (CI) F NT Authority\system: (OI) (CI) F I've used Paragon NTFS with the same results. |

Try this on the file at the cmd promt cacls {filename} /E /P everyone:F From what I see, the default that windows writes for files unless otherwise specified if just F(ull) file control, none of the other CI(Container Inherit) or OI(Object Inherit) is set PCH A-100, A-110 & A-200 |

Try it on the directory that the file is in then, see if that helps. Change the perms to F, see if that helps.
