Looking to buy C-200

Hello,


I am new here have a few questions. I own a WDTV Live & Seagate HD media. But I want the best so I am looking into this C-200.

1.) What about thumbnails. For DVD covers and CD covers. Will it show them like my other media players do? It is nice to look through jpeg images for the movies or mp3.

2.) Will it be able to seperate my photos from my DVD & CD thumbnails? That is one of the things I hate about the other media players. No way to seperate my photos from thumbnails.

3.) From what I have read it has the chapter skip like my Seagate. Right?

4.) How easy is it to move or delete a movie or mp3 file on a USB hard drive? It was imposible with my others.

5.) Will it support e-sata external drives?

6.) Why would I want to add a Blu-Ray player to it... if I have all the HD movies on a hard drive?

7.) Will a Blu-Ray burner work with it? If so can I burn stuff to a hard drive?

8.)How many external usb or e-sata drive can I connect to it at the same time?

9.)Does have a search funtion for looking for movies or songs in a hard drive that works? Never could get the others to search right.

there is a new jukebox interface called nmj coming to the c200 and a200, link at top of forum has some videos of it working.. until then there is a variety of other jukebox applications, yamj, umc and oversight being the more popular ones for movies and tv.. I don't use photos or music but there are options for those also.. look around the forum to see what they are about.

the cpu power behind the unit isn't all that much so theres no speed advantage over usb.. there is no esata port however there is nothing stopping you from taking 1 of the sata ports inside the unit and making it an esata port..

you can put a disc in and watch it? a movie that you have but don't want to waste space on can be inserted.. a new disc can be popped in before you get a chance to rip it.. the external can move between your computer and pch unit so offers some options if you don't own a bluray drive now..

theres only 2 sata ports inside it and they don't support port multiplying so technically 2 if you use sata to esata cables.. the most I've heard with usb externals is 9. I'm sure at some point you'll run out of memory but to my knowledge nobody hit that number yet.

you can also build out a nas or similar and then your multiple players can use it via the network.. the media doesn't need to be attached or inside it.

depends on the jukebox package you pick and I'm not sure about what the soon to be released nmj has

No, play back support only, no ripping features available nor do i think their will be one coming.
