HDD Temperature monitoring

Hi folks!
I'm thinking about setting up a temperature monitoring system for my B-110 + Seagate 1TB hardisk (I use amule, and I'd like to keep it on 24/7)

Smartmon tools shows me the actual temperature; my idea is to run with crontab a shell script, getting the temp, sending mail with sendmail and eventually shutdown the system (or at least stopping the HD).

Is anyone interested? Or can anyone help with sendmail? it seems not working, but I had not much time to dedicate....
