Fast Foward faster than x8

I have a simple question
Is there any way I can modify my A-110 to be able to fast forward faster that the default maximum which is x8
I would really like to be able to go trough a 40 minutes video without waiting for about 5 minutes

Well just skip to whatever time in the vid you want, you can use the number keys to skip to % of, ie 1 = 10%, 7= 70%

Or just hit the time seek button at the bottom left of the remote. Now you can jump to the 40 minute mark instantly

while the number keys do exactly what you say, i would not call the process of skipping though 40 minutes of a video file with the time seek button "instant" by any means. certainly not instant. I'd say it's probably closer to 30 seconds than instant by the time you get the timer to 40 minutes and then hit enter and the 100/110 starts playing again for high def material.

i do remember way back when I got my A-100, the firmware updates were supposed to include FF and REW up to 32x. lots of firmware updates, but that never happened.

Ok not instant, but even at 32x your still talking close to 1.5 minutes by time you ramp it up to 32x for 40mins, etc. So I would say timeseek is the better option, or I find my self using the % button quite often - you can normally guess pretty close, and then either back off or move forward in 30 second steps or +- 10% etc.
