need help with Oversight
I've just installed Oversight v2.0alpha-r1274 to my PCH A200.
But can't get it to work. I can't get it to scan my movies in the internal drive.. I put all my movie folders in this path: /SATA_DISK/share/Movies And I'm not sure about the file/folder name.. this is how I put the names of folder and files for From Paris With Love movie: "From Paris With Love - 2010" Is this correct? I'm new to NMT (just bought it yerterday) and Oversight. Can anybody explain? thanks. RE: need help with Oversight
Take a look in the configuration under "Media Sources", it should have /share/Movies. If it doesn't, then add it.
For like a dvd rip or similar the folder name is used, for files you need to be a little more specific, like from.paris.with.love.2010.avi or iso or whatever it is. Using _ or . in the names doesn't appear to make any difference to me on my system. Take a look on the Oversight webpage in the wiki for more info about filenames etc. I also have a question about v2.0alpha-r1274. I just upgraded to it and I have a couple of problems. One is the "lock". I am not sure what this is supposed to do, but most of my files are now locked and using the padlock doesn't seem to work either locking or unlocking entries. Basically its stopping me from deleting some of the bad scan results Btw, I do all the scanning etc from my PC, not the pch.I also have a problem with an old tv series called "Cleopatra 2525". There are 2 seasons but oversight now has double entries for each season, one set with posters the other without. I originally also had this problem back with Oversight v1 stable, but managed to clear it up by fixing up some of the filenames. Tried heaps of things so far no luck, and that locking problem above makes it just more difficult to remove the old listings to try a rescan. Any ideas? Popcorn Hour C-200 Pioneer VSX1019AH BENQ W1000 NAS no, gave up on those. Mounts from a Linux server are simple and the best. |

In the Oversight menu goto 'Media Source' and ensure the scan_paths includes /share/Movies (which it should by default). Then go back and select 'Rescan Media'. You should see /share/Movies on the left side, so just click 'rescan request'. Sit back and wait. The time it takes to run depends on the number of movies/shows you have. For your movie folder name, that it fine. I call mine "Movie - From Paris with Love" and have no issues. Check out the Oversight Wiki at: http://code.google.com/p/oversight/wiki/OversightIntro Cheers. |

RE: need help with Oversight
@who , the locking is a permissions thing. I'll modify it today.
