[A110] Firmware 01-17-100516-15-POP-403-000 (00-17-091216-15-POP-403 Apps)

I have mentioned it before in this thread. There seems to be a problem in music playback using this firmware. After playing / skipping a few songs (mp3 and flac, some include album art and some not) the popcorn behaves strangely. Sometimes it stops playing music, sometimes the playback screen disappears showing the folder with musicfiles and music still playing (new feature , navigate while playback?) In the end the music stops playing. After this the popcorn won't play anything until reboot. So no photo's, music or movies.
Just to be sure, i have removed every custom app. All files stored on internal drive.
Now with the album art showing right this behaviour takes longer to appear. Flac music files seem to trigger the problem faster. I performed a test with a folder containing both MP3 and FLAC files. Played a few songs and maybe skipped few songs. The behaviour was very quicky triggered.
In test with separate folders MP3 and FLAC it took longer for this behaviour to appear.
I would like to know if more people have noticed this.

I just upgrade the firmware few minutes ago and my wireless is still working
It was one of the only thing that was not really stable with previous firmware so I hope it will work better now

I notice there is a little change in the network settings regardind the wireless
there is a link quality field which indicate a value
here I have 84/100 which is not too bad I guess
I will wait and see if the wireless is better with that firmware ( I hope)

That is a 200 series thread discussing playback of BD structures, the 100 series will never be able to play them as it has no BD license or ability to handle BD structures.

Same with me, certain MP3/FLAC files plays for <10 seconds and stops. Album art displaying correctly for me for all my MP3/FLAC collection.

NB: Wherever, album art is not embedded in the MP3/FLAC files, PCH takes the "Folder.jpg" which I had created for MJB.

When i want to update, i get, invalid browser, what does that mean? I updated with the usb and that works fine, but still i get the invalid browser, does someone has a clue?

Strange, i change from wpa2 tkip Aes to WPA tkip (in the router and in the popcorn) and Now
wifi connected!!!
and i see the popcorn!

Ok, I do realize, A110 was never meant and won't handle all BD structures or full BD playback.
Still interesting to know: A110 can play “old” BD m2ts files, but not Avatar and new BD m2ts files.
Will A110 be able to play these new BD m2ts files?
If not in this firmware, but might be later...

No, didnt say that. Only since it didnt work had to try something to get it working again.
Tried almost everything to make it work (except changing the security settings) but it wont "connect", it sees the wifi but doesnt do anything with it.
I now know, thanks to the help of another forummember, that in the A-100 topic people found a way around this problem (has to do with the security settings; i use WPA2 TKIP + AES).

But i still find that a way around is not a SOLUTION, thats why i downgraded this PCH A-110 to the firmware of march.
Since i want at least the same security i think i will await next firmware update and hope that they tested it this time before releasing.

Jups, a known workaround (see also the A-100 topic) but no real solution. If you want to downgrade, use the usb-stick method (download the firmware to your computer and place the packagecontents in the root of the USB-stick and feed it to the PCH.

Both my A100 and A110 play Avatar m2ts just fine and every other new BD m2ts file I have thrown at it.

Firmware upgrade went OK i think but when updating the apps I get

Setup Aborted Failed To Stop MyiHome Server

with the only option to reboot then goes through cycle to the same point again. If I cancel installation and go into apps section all apps are shown stopped but I can not get the apps to highlight to start or stop?

Any help?
