You can't blame him for that when a new user (1st post) is "advertising" a program.
Nonetheless, it's on a doom9.org forum which lends more credibility.
It all seems legit after reading the thread from user comments.

Anyone can register and post on doom9, and the thread doesn't have a lot of feedback so that doesn't really give it credibility yet, I would be very careful, I would only test this in a dedicated VM.

Why would anyone release another bluray decrypter and make it free forever, but not release the source code?

People either write software for profit (which doesn't exclude the fun factor) or purely for fun, and those that write it purely for fun normally release their source code since it increases the fun factor (and the kudos) due to the community that forms around it (if the software is any good).

I write my software "purely for fun", and have always released them as FreeWare, but I have never released my source code Tongue.

What does that make me? Huh Big Grin

The exception that confirms the rule. Wink Big Grin
But you are missing out on the extra satisfaction that you would experience if you opensource'd your software, Tongue just look at YAMJ and the buzz around it which is largely due to the fact that everyone can contribute!

More seriously, you have history and credibility on here so I wouldn't hesitate to trust your software, but a few posts on doom9 (by someone with 8 posts in total), one post on here and a binary-only software package stored on rapidshare doesn't instill confidence to me.

Good question. Without a satisfactory answer to that, I would steer way clear. Key logger, C/C info harvester?

RE: A new Blu-Ray decrypting tool - BlurayDecrypter
1. update to version 2.0.00
2. add latest keys and fix some bugs

The h-cert key used by the program may be revoked. I can only use Virtual Drive[with an ISO file] to test because my blu-ray drive hase broken down.

if you find bugs, please tell me about that, thanks!Smile
