It happens with AC3. All my movies are AC3 so not sure if it affects DTS.

Basic file playback should be paramount and all other items like a fancy UI, web streaming, etc should take a back seat.

how does a bug like this slip through 2 firmware releases and weeks of beta / RC testing?

I Very rarely use trick play but i will give it a try on my setup to see if this can be reproduced.

thanks, please try it on a number of different M2TS files if you have them, it happens on about half of mine, trying to find a pattern.

How else do you jump around a movie? I use this feature all the time.

Only time I watch a movie is start to finish what are you using to make the m2ts. and is there a few specific movie titles you can give me so I can see if I have them I dont want to blindly test a bunch of files.

And than from de Octava hdsa7.1 witch 8x RCA to the Multichannel input of my receiver Yamaha RX-V2500.

Erm, well yeah, if you want to add more hardware into the chain. I was saying the only way with just the PCH and an AVR with only optical in. Of course if you want to add more hardware, just buy an HDMI amp

Please check my posts regarding previous firmware... I have posted there media info of these m2ts files that bounce me out to the file list when pressing 1, 2 ,3 buttons on the pilot.

I think a lot of people don't want to replace there (expensive) amp.
With a little bit more hardware you can prevent that.

After updating to the Oct firmware my HDMI issue (black screen, introduced in Aug Firmware) appeared to be solved. After the auto-reboot (as part of the update process) I didn't see the boot screen, but the image appeared at the NMT load screen. I was able to watch movies without issue. Before updating (using USB) I was watching a movie with May Firmware.

However, after turning the C200 off and on again (and changing the TV input to watch TV) the HDMI issue has reappeared and now I can't get HDMI output. I have rolled back to May Firmware and recreated this and the results are the same. If I just power down the C200 but don't change TV input I'm fine, but once the TV input has been changed I can never get HDMI output from the C200.

Does this classify as "Things that make you go hmmmmmm"

TV is a Sony 40W5500

You really do not get the point of the original answer. The point I was making was that the only way to get 5.1 over optical, from a 5.1 PCM source with just the PCH and their current amp without adding more hardware is to have the PCM re-encoded to AC3, DTS or matrixed audio.

Hi, I am a very fresh user of the C-200, I am impressed about this device but there is a few problems which I can't menage for example rmvb on my deivce when I am playing movie in this standard there is no sound what can be a problem ?

Also I have a problem with starting "browser" form internet apps it only shows "Started" with white screen ?

Also I don't have a clue how to use "*" sing from remote control ?

I would be very grateful for any help.

Hi Werner,

My setup includes a FreeNAS server which always played full BR rips with no issues. This new FW release, causes many full BR rips to stutter at the beginning, and only moving to 1080p/24 solved that. In addition, when browsing the subtitles in full BR rips, the movie starts to strutter as well and it takes either 20-30 seconds with no sound until it goes back to normal or skipping 30 seconds backwards of forward.
