NMT Apps remove Myihome Lite from A200/C200?

Hi all,

as you all know our NMT Apps package includes myihome lite, we are currently thinking to remove this from the NMT Apps package, the reason for that is that we don't and won't put any resources into it anymore.

This won't affect anything else so Apache, PHP,..... will be still inside the package but the myihome function will get removed from the Setup.

Also take note that this has no affect to myihome for PC!

Please make your Vote and if you have concerns then please post them here why you think it is not an good idea to remove it.

As I recall, Myihomelite is a requirement in order to run some user developed applications, possibly the MediaTank Controller by Niels Leinheer?

So if this is really the case, then I think it needs to stay - for that reason only, unless Syabas can provide an alternative method that enables the running of those user-developed applications.

I voted yes but have no real preference as I've never used it, and don't use any apps that may require it.

I voted no as I do see posts from members that use it to stream from the 100 series to another NMT.

are you sure that it requires myihome lite?? or isn't it just that it needs apache and php which makes more sense

As long as it doesn't mean the eventual death of Syabas markup, I can't see a major issue, I think llink could fill the void.

As a suggestion consider releasing the entire project as open source rather than letting the investment die. It might give ideas to Lundman and Pernod and others writing Syabas-style servers plus someone might want to keep it going.

I use myihome to stream from NMT to NMT.

Also, it is the only program natively that will recognise itunes playlists and I use that everyday

Please keep...is it such a big thing that it needs to be removed??? Please keep it
