Major Win7 Stream problem
I have a stream problem what is keeping me from using my PCH’s for months. I have spent several days to solve this problem but I cannot solve it. The worst feeling is that I have 3 PCH’s; 2x A-110 and 1x A-100 that are not working…
My OS is Win7 X64 another PC Win7 X86, 3Com enterprise switch (Gigabit) connection is established by 100mbit LAN. I wasn’t be able to play any files at all for a long time PCH didn’t see any files. I have 8x 1TB HDD’s so I started to format one HDD and copy the data back. After this process I shared the folder again and I could finally see my movies back. I have shared a HDD and want to play the movies in the subfolders. The structure is as follow: M:\Movies\Toy Story\Toy Story.mkv the PCH starts with message buffering and than I get ‘could not play’. If I move the file to the root (not in a folder) I can play it. M:\Movies\Toy Story\Toy Story\Sample\Sample.mkv the PC starts with message ‘request cannot be processed press return key to return to previous screen’. This happens with 2 subfolders i.e. Toy Story and Sample. When I share a folder on a HDD I get the message ‘no content found’ with every shared folder . I browse by ‘Network Browser’ – ‘WORKGROUP’ – ‘PC-Name’ I tried the following things so far; - Latest FW / March 2009 Firmware Click ]here - Reset PCH - Enabled guest account - Create share folder with Windows Share manager - Applied sharing registry fix with Windows Share Manager - Format Win7 - Disabled Win7 Firewall I have followed the tips of the following topic; http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...work_Share I’m really a bit disappointed that it is not going to work. I work in the IT branche but none of my co-workers have a clue why the PCH is holding back. I hope somebody knows what is causing the problem here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

RE: Major Win7 Stream problem
Well clearly you have not looked at the win 7 guide, since you have 128 Bit still enabled
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...p/Windows7 You mention your path, but don't give any details of where you shares are in that path?? From you pictures you have a folder X:\MOvie, this is that folder shared as MOvie? What about the sub folders permissions and the actual file permissions. Setting up file sharing to the PCH should honestly take you about 2 minutes tops.. Vs that FileSharing wizard setting share and file permissions why don't you actually look at the share permissions and file permissions for the sub folders and files you wanting to access. Its quite possible for a sub folder to not get the permissions when you share its parent.. Depending the permissions set on the folder and if inherit flag set, etc. etc. If you really have a problem - if you want, we could use teamviewer and will have your files shared with your pch in no time. |
