I doubt that modern HDDs need special parking. Anyway, personally I don't know where a shutdown script can be added.

Hi Roman_V_M,

Do you know when Transmission 2.22 will be integrated into LTU? I heard this version of transmission can avoid data verifying after unexcepted crash or reboot.

Thanks and regards,
DRYFISH.

I cannot really tell that since I'm just another user but Padavan wrote some time ago that he is not very pleased with 2.22 due to some issues.
Personally, I'm satisfied with 2.13 performance and stability.

Check and modify /share/Apps/LTU/configure file for the necessary settings - the type of a terminal shell, login and password. Don't forget to use a text editor which supports Unix line endings, e.g. notepad2.

RE: Alternative Linux Terminal Utils package with Telnet/SSH/Midnight Commander.
Thank u very very much! I found the password for ssh but not the login or "type of a terminal shell". Could you explain how to find that? I used the notepad 2 to search for ther terms "login" "password" and "terminal" but i dont see the correct line except for password.

Thank you one more time!

Edit: Ok, now i found the type of terminal shell and set it to ssh:-) But where i can find the login name?

This is Linux, so I guess the answer is pretty obvious - "root".

RE: Alternative Linux Terminal Utils package with Telnet/SSH/Midnight Commander.
v. 0.7.4 has been released. Major changes:

- Transmission torrent-client updated to v. 2.31.
- Added a fix to the bug which prevents from changing Samba workgroup other than default "WORKGROUP" introduced in recent firmware.

More details in the 1-s post.

RE: Alternative Linux Terminal Utils package with Telnet/SSH/Midnight Commander.
Just a few FYI: I tried sveral times to install this with CSI, but nothing never happend, so I dropped the content of the .zip file in the root of the PCH share and with the remote activated the 'Install_from_SATA.html' (since i have a disk), and that worked.

On my PCH Transmission used to be on port 9091 but is now on 8077, not sure why, not sure if I should care.

I get this in /Apps/LTU/log/messages.lnk
Code:
May 20 13:34:53 PCH-A200 daemon.err transmission-daemon[2155]: UDP Failed to set receive buffer: requested 4194304, got 1048576 (tr-udp.c:75)
May 20 13:34:53 PCH-A200 daemon.info transmission-daemon[2155]: UDP Please add the line "net.core.rmem_max = 4194304" to /etc/sysctl.conf (tr-udp.c:80)
May 20 13:34:53 PCH-A200 daemon.err transmission-daemon[2155]: UDP Failed to set send buffer: requested 1048576, got 212992 (tr-udp.c:86)
May 20 13:34:53 PCH-A200 daemon.info transmission-daemon[2155]: UDP Please add the line "net.core.wmem_max = 1048576" to /etc/sysctl.conf (tr-udp.c:91)
any reason for consern?

RE: Alternative Linux Terminal Utils package with Telnet/SSH/Midnight Commander.
2 vaivel

It seems that LTU has imported settings from the built-in Transmission rather than CSI version. As for log messages I guess it has something to do with uTP support introduced in v 2.31. But I would recommend to disable this option because download/upload speeds are lower with uTP enabled. It seems that support for uTP has not optimized yet.

@Roman_V_M

I disabled uTP ("utp-enabled": false) and no more error/warnings in the log, I changed the rcp port 'back' to 9091 ("rpc-port": 9091) while I was at it, just for my own convinience.

RE: Alternative Linux Terminal Utils package with Telnet/SSH/MC/Transmission
I've asked Padavan about these warnings and he says this because of Transmission trying to allocate larger memory buffers for UDP transfer than a player can provide, so this is nothing serious - Transmission simply gets lesser buffers. In theory these buffers can be increased but he would not recommend doing it on a player with limited RAM resources.
