I have a DENON AVR2807 that will not decode TrueHD or DTS MA HD. It will however process a PCM stream enabling MULTI CHANNEL PCM output from the AVR! Question is why isnt there a PCM output option under the audio setup with this firmware update? Is this due to the fact the A200 cannot do the decoding?
Many thanks |

PCH does not have a license to decode dts-hd and truehd to multichannel pcm |

I have an issue with Fast Forward / Skip Forward / Resume when playing content recorded from DVB-T broadcasts in New Zealand on an A-210 using this version of firmware. The content is H.264 video and either AC3 or AAC-HE audio in a .TS file container.
The A-210 is currently operating in a standalone configuration with no network connection, and no installed hard disk playing files from a USB-attached disk and/or USB memory stick. Selecting and playing a file works as expected. The problem occurs if I fast forward or skip ahead during playback. As soon as I press the play button again, playback is abruptly ended, and I’m dropped back into the on-screen list of media files on the disk. Also if I stop during playback, and play again, playback will not resume from that point – it will always start from the beginning of the file. This issue also occurs with the previous firmware release (02-03-100918-21-POP-411), but it is resolved by installing the firmware released in May 2010 (02-02-100428-19-POP-411). |

(http://www.octavainc.com/HDMI%20switch%2...udio.html) Glad I read this before spending the money! My Denon amp (AVC-A10SE) lacks HDMI inputs but I've no intention of replacing it just yet. Anyone know of a reasonably priced add-on decoder that can convert bitstream HD audio to 7.1 analogue? The only ones I've found so far cost as much as buying a new amp. Back on topic, this firmware is working pretty well for me. In particular, a bunch of MKVs that were annoyingly jerky with previous FWs now play smoothly. However, there's still a few things that get on my nerves: - Having to manually zoom to between 90 and 95% every time I start watching anything is really tiresome. I wish there was a global setting for overscan. - It seems to choose at random from displaying either full screen or fit to screen, regardless of what the default is set to or what it says on screen when I press Zoom. - The reversed directions when panning are just weird. I have to press down to move the picture up, left to move it right and so on. Do the programmers live in a mirror universe?
A-200 in Moovika fanless case, with 27 May 2011 firmware. Samba network shares from PC (Win 7 Pro 64 bit) and QNAP TS-419P+ Turbo NAS via Netgear DGND3700 ADSL router. Connected to 32" CRT via s-video. Set to 720p 50Hz for NMJ to work, but have abandoned NMJ. |

In my Bravia I use Set-up->Screen settings->Display area->Full pixel (instead of Normal). A200 -> Sony Bravia KDL40-W4500 HDMI v.1.3 -> receiver Sony DAV-DZ850M S/PDIF(optical) <-> internal 1TB SATA Hard Drive ST31000520AS Seagate Barracuda LP (5900RPM), EXT3, NMT apps installed on it |
