txt2srt - convert subtitles from common .txt formats
I've just found the utility called txt2srt. It's written in java (=runs on MacOS, windows and linux with jvm, does not run directly on popcorn a100). It automatically converts txt subtitles (supports various formats of them) to .srt files, which are displayed by Popcorn Hour.
Download it and run it in a few easy steps.

RE: txt2srt - convert subtitles from common .txt formats
There's mika and possibly jikes jvm available for the A100 somewhere (not sure of jikes, at least it's in vaidyasr's C200 ipkg feed), as well as mediainfo. If someone has mika or jikes installed on their 100-series nmt they might be able to try if this thing works from telnet command line?

Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn.

I tried with mika:

Looks like regex classes are not supported by mika. Was unable to get jikes running, anyone?

RE: txt2srt - convert subtitles from common .txt formats
any idea converting .ass files to .srt?

.ass subtitles have formats inside them, maybe a little more complicated.
