[C-200] Firmware 02-04-101206-21-POP-408 (02-04-101104-21-POP-408 Apps) (08.12.2010)

That WAS a good choice buying that router the c-200 DID work great on it a couple off FW ago.
But not anymore using no CSi or LTU and nmt apps pureftp the c-200 locks up 3-5 times for a 4gig file using ftp,smb.
Using LTU and the updated pureftp or smb i'm lucky if i only get 20-25 lockups for the same file and if i try to use ANY network related apps or browse using smb the c-200 locksup in 5 seconds.

However if i do install lundftp i almost get ftp to work only locks up after 2-4 4gig files.
And i never see speeds over 12MB/s but usaully is between 8-10MB/s (same speed for ftp,smb,csi,Ltu,pureftp,lundftp)
Using 1000 or 100 settings give the same speed and stability.

And this was rock solid for me at 17-18MB/s at 1000 settings i did move 1,5TB in one go using ftp in september 2010 and that was movies,mp3,pictures so it was many,many files at least 5 figures.
The ONLY thing that has changed (beside update the c-200 FW) is that i added 1 more HD to my pc everything else is the same.
I can't really see how the hd could affect the stability of the c-200 so there isn't much more to blame then the only thing left
Then add the general crashes playing files (from internal hd) that never happend before and so on.

So to sum up GREAT WORK SYABAS instead of 50% off the userbase can´t use 1000 now no one (almost) can use 1000 OR 100.

After a few tests it was my wifi that was messing up. Made some changes and it works again like a charm. However, I'll try to switch to NFS as soon as I'll find the clearest tuto for dummies like me.

I have a c200 purchased on 23/10/2010 with hard disk type
WD Caviar Green WD20EARS - Hard drive - 2 TB - internal - 3.5 "- SATA-300-buffer: 64 MB
Popcorn Hour A-200 Networked Media Tank - Digital multimedia receiver - black
execute a firmware update was all done very well.
so far no problems.

But in the Christmas holidays, I made a firmware update for 02-04-101206-21-408-000-pop after this update came trouble while playing a movie its stops. The only way forward was to be a switch off. At first I thought it was the file but when I play the movie again he remains at the same point are not. This looks not like a hard disk problem. but a communication problem between the HD and popcorn. To play a movie on the network the c200 has no problems.
After some searching I also updated to version NMT 02-04-101104-21-pop-408.Could it be that I should have a higher version. The 101206. I cannot download this.
I have finally done a factory reset. But to this option, the movie still holds. Now at 37 min
Could it be that he is a kind of power safe mode ends.
Even after copying files larger than 1GB, the popcorn is now hanging.
What I do so far.
Downgrade firmware to 02-01-090729-17-POP-408-000 no solution
Upgrade to 02-04-101104-21-POP-408-000 no solution
Upgrade to 02-04-101206-21-POP-408-000 no solution

I have a DIR-655 as well, and I've never had any lock-ups while transferring files, and I transfer stuff every day due to my rather rudimentary storage setup (direct attached storage). I gave up on gigabit on the C-200 a long time ago though, and have been using 100Mbit ever since.

When it arrives, I hope the new version is worth the wait... Geting on for 3 months since the last update now. It should be FANTASTIC no?

I'm expecting:
lighting fast scanning that adds rather than subtracts info into your database
lightning fast GUI that doesnt involve making cups of tea while waiting to play an MP3 or switch views
totally functional Gbit interface (if only to stop the 'My Gbit i/f doesnt work' threads)
super intuitive UI that only has one method of going back up the function tree
Oh, and perhaps even a random function in music

Perhaps I'll be dissapointed... lol

You can always opt for reading the changelog to know what's coming. Building expectations based on guessware isn't healthy in the long run.

If they are concerned about bugs, hey it is FULL of bugs right now!

I can not read the large majority of my ripped DVD's and to get things worse, yesterday it couldn't read a VIDEO_TS folder of my future child ecography!!! Well, imagine trying to explain that to your wife...

Not sure if anyone else saw but the Feb 25th firmware is available to download via the unit. Happened to check when I got home today from work and sure enough it grabbed it.
