You need to get your terms and connections sorted.
You need component for 1080 etc. not composite:- http://www.networkedmediatank.com/viewtopic.php?t=5060 I'll carry on in the other thread no need for double posting. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

Still no luck for me!!
I used the display.html to look at the settings. It has the settings right: HDMI -> 1080p 60Hz Component: 1080p 60Hz HMI Audio: ON Still have the same issue: HDMI: No Signal Component: Goes off and on every 1.5 to 2 seconds. TV keeps giving the message: "searching for signal" I will try S-video a try and post back. I am not too tech savvy when it comes to TV / Audio / Video - thus the mistake in terms and connections. Thanks -GGR |

Okay its working now.
Plugged in the S-video and got just lines and waves. Pressed TV-Mode and Picture came in after a few seconds (20). Went to Video and changed from Auto to HDMI 1080p 60Hz, and saved. S-video was not visible at this point. Unplugged the S-video and plugged in the HDMI cable. TV showed "Searching for signal" when I pressed TV-Mode and then 0 This put it in Auto. I got signal in HDMI. Changed the video settings to 1080p 60Hz and saved. After couple of clicks, it came up in 1080p. Thanks all for your help. I thought something went wrong with my unit and was very disheartened. Thanks once again. -GGR |

Just a thought for those HDMI users. I have this problem quite frequently expecially when I switch between content of different resolutions or play a file thats not completly compatable.
It seems the PCH can't always read the siginal on the HDMI input correctly. I've done every trick in the book TV out, Unplugging the PCH power, Disconnecting the HD, factory reset, switching to component or composite cable etc.... and when nothing works. I simply unplug the HDMI connected to the TV side then plug it back in then do the tv out +7 (720P USA for my system) and it just comes back. This has never failed so I just do that first from now on. There are also times where I don't need to set tv out on the remote. Just unpluging and reconnecting the HDMI does the trick. As my HDMI devices all go to a 5 port HDMI v1.3 switch first, I unplug and replug it from the switch. This may not work for everyone but its worth a try. |
