3. Added support for mkv prepend compression for h264 tracks

5. Fixes for music Now Playing screen
   - Cover art image now is up to 2MB. Otherwise default image is shown
   - Fixed issue with image containing EXIF
   - Scale down large image when necessary for proper display.
6. Fixed ID3 parser byte-skipping error that caused long delay when music playback.
7. Added shuffle feature on music playback (all types of audio files)
   - Use Repeat key to toggle
   - only for music playback
   - does not work on UPnP or myiHome, works for SMB/NFS
8. Fixed issue where Infobar is cleared when play next file in a playlist.
9. Fix for WiFi issue: WPA-PSK / WPA2PSK[TKIP+AES] connection failure
10. Reset subtitle settings when doing factory reset.

Since the last update it's impossible to play VIDEO_TS folders. Can someone confirm this bug is fixed in this firmware release?

Update from USB doesn't work!
After short period "downloading firmware" screen turns black.
Only solution is to "power off"

Update from interface works!
Maybe Download corrupt? (downloaded and copies to usb twice)

I can now play MKV written by mkvmerge v4.4.0

I'm still on 01-17-091202-15-POP-402, and from everything I've read on the A-100 and A-110 forums, it seems like each new A-1x0 firmware version introduces more new and "exciting" problems than it solves. It's almost as if the emphasis is more on keeping the A-1x0 users quiet by releasing firmware updates with minor enhancements every now and then, than on actually fixing existing bugs.
The comments on the latest firmware "upgrades" for both A-1x0 devices suggest the introduction of more bugs, so I'm once again very hesitant to upgrade. So I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a more or less reliable and improved firmware version, or should I just stick with 091202 for now?

Why not upgrade and see if it works for you? Worst case scenario, you don't like it, then you just downgrade back to the version you are currently using.

Don't assume that every problem listed here by individual users will be true for yourself. People's setups differ a great deal and there are many factors that can cause a certain behaviour.

Files where not in the root of the usb stick, but in a directory with spaces.
Buggy that it doesn't work and update starts with black screen as result.

I'm amazed that this is not listed in the history of changes/fixes. I'm tired of loading new firmware only to find out it is a regression from previous releases.

I'm still on the (I believe) the March 2009 firmware. This firmware does play ISO and VIDEO_TS folders fine. I upgraded my firware always to the latest firmware. It took me ages to find out it was not my ripping / backup software, network or whatever that caused my ISO's and VIDEO_TS movies not to play anymore. I reverted back to this old firmware and since then I have no problems at all playing these formats. All new 'features' I miss I take for granted.

I agree with r111 that is a shame that this is still not solved. Do a search on ISO or VIDEO_TS playback problems and you know what I mean.

Please fix this!
