I just tried a 7.6 GB mkv file with external srt, worked fine. I also tried a 15.8GB mkv file with an internal subtitle ... played perfectly.

Thanks for the response!! I have figured out with your help/check. I have here the solution!! Still it's a bug, because I've played on a mediaplayer with a Realtek chip without any problems. I thought all SRT files are just plain text based files. Wrong you need to save it ANSI format. So the not working SRT file was saved in UNICODE text format. That's why it's not working on my A100 Popcorn. First I thought it was the filesize. This is incorrect. So the Popcorn doesn't support UNICODE SRT file format. This is a bug. Solution: Open the SRT file with Notepad. Save as, Choose the encoding ANSI instead of UNICODE, Save ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I just wanted to reiterate that this update prevented me from playing MP3s and MKVs as mentioned earlier. Bummer.
I also didn't realize that playing VIDEO_TS folders had been incapacitated in an earlier firmware update. I'm headed back to the 24 March 2010 firmware release. |

Hello, first I appear, I'm new in this forum.
Another problem that I have found in this new firmware is that before I saw well the anamorfic movies and now I see them without stretching. Does it happen to someone more (tape-worm the A100 without updating since I bought it)? Excuse for my english, I'm sorry. Regards. |
