It is able to scan for and find the network however it just flashes when it attempts to connect and then fails.

Same hardware same problem. Rollback to previous firmware so wifi work.

i have only just updated to this latest firmware rls as i encountered another mkv yesterday that i couldnt play and i was hoping that it may have been fixed..

when i read the release notes i got pretty excited that there was a fix:

but after updating firmware and trying to play again it doesnt appear to have worked for me, i still get the same issue as before - a blank black screen.

i checked this particular file and it uses:

which is an even later version of mkvmerge than files i was having trouble with previously.

does this firmware update fix the header compression issue for files using mkvmerge v4.4.0 or only earlier versions like v4.3.0? (i cant find a file using v4.3.0 to test this latest firmware with, anyone have a link to a test file??)

after reading the last 10 pages of this thread it seems the header compression has been solved for most people but im not personally convinced yet

actually 4.4.0 gave the option to no disable mkv compression so your file might not even have header compression post the mediainfo output for it.

Thank you. I had recently download trailers for the Oscars and after multiple reencodes simply gave up trying to get them to work (no video and stuttering audio). I figured since this was a new problem there might be new firmware. I was right and I have to thank you guys on the dev team.

after another reboot, this file now plays fine so im not sure if it has header compression or not (muxing mode = header stripping <-- is that it?)

Ever since I've updated to this firmware, my PCH does NOT play music (regarless of the many formats I tried) albums as a whole. It starts to play a few music files and then suddenly stops and exits to the folder view. Then when I go back to play the files again, it simply skips the files until it reaches the end of the album and exists to the folder view. This was never a problem and started to happen since the firmware upgrade.
The only way to get music running again is to restart PCH. What did Syabas break!

Has anyone else faced this issue?

Hello,

I'm running A110 for almost 2 year without any problems, even firmware upgrades wend well. Unthil the latest one, when i upgraded thrue the console (via internet connection) the firmeware upgrade works fine, but it needs the new NMT (00-17-091216-15-POP-403) here it is where i'm getting stuck. After downloading the NMT it stops with a CRC error, and the only option is reboot.

After searching the forum it looks like i found the solution, just upgrade from usb stick (after reformating en placing the files in the root), but this also does not work. In order to use the A110 i was forced to downgrade to:

28 October 2009
Firmware Version : 01-17-091022-15-POP-403
NMT Apps Version : 00-17-091014-15-POP-403


Here is ware i am stuck, the next upgrade is dec 10 2009 and if i install this firmware and nmt version i get the same results, CRC failure on the nmt image during upgrade.

Seems to me i am missing a pace of information or just doing it wrong!

Anyone with the same problem/behavior?

Is anyone using MPD with this latest firmware release? I can't get MPD to play for some reason (everything else appears to be working, but when I click play nothing happens). I was just wondering if maybe the audio plugin is not compatible with this firmware release.

Sure. Now that you've been all decent and read through the 10 pages, can you see a solution to this (non-) issue besides just discussions?
