I can confirm the DTS hiccups that I had are gone now.

The subtitle OSD flicker bug is still present.

Now to the weird part, after a clean fw install and fresh hdd format everything was ok. But after a factory reset and reboot, when pch loads into the main media source screen and when it tries to mount the internal hdd it just hangs up. The top left corner flower timer keeps on turning and nothing happens.

With previous fw's (at least in my experience) it sometimes mounted the hdd and other times failed. Now it just hangs if you don't act quickly and do something else with pch before it tries to mount.

But still best fw fix since June 2009.

edit: It also doesn't want to mount any kind of usb key anymore, i tried 4 different kinds. Same thing happens flower timer just keeps on rolling Smile

2nd edit: Just reinstalled fw only, without formatting hdd or reinstalling apps. Seems to work now.

IDX/SUb subtitles so far OK.

In the previous release it was rather buggy to my opnion.
Movie wouldn't play, or during silence in the movie the subs
remained on the screen.

I haven't done deep tests, but it appears to be better.

Does this firmware already solve the stutter when using VC1 in MKV containers? I saw there was a fix for the A/C-200, but was this also fixed for the A-110/100?

Are the subtitle settings (size, color, etc) already saved between reboots?

RE: [A-110] Firmware 01-17-101217-15-POP-403 (00-17-091216-15-POP-403 Apps)
I have the same problem when playing music. It will play 1 or 2 numbers and then return to the folder view. After that, when trying to play music again, it's looping to the numbers and comes back in the folder view.

Watching a movie is also not possible, only after a reboot I can watch again.
So I believe the music part needs a little update...

Unfortunately the flac playback problem i posted before is not fixed in this release.
Sad

When this is fixed I can finally enjoy my music. At the moment after a while the device stops musicplayback and returns to the folder showing the files. It will not play music again until reboot of the device.
The rest seems to work fine in this release.

Smile I hope you can slightly change the layout of the music playback screen.
At the moment the screen is too small to display long song titles. I think it is better to show all text at the bottom of the screen using the entire width of the screen and showing the album art above it or use a scrolling bar method, the kind you already use when you list long filenames.

Just upgraded, but still can't delete any files under NTFS. The message is smth "you have a read-only file system". How can I do that? May be some key combination or smth.?

Thanks for continuing to support this device! I would have rather been shot in the face repeatedly than re-mux all those files. As such, I really appreciate how Syabas has responded to this issue, and the respect they've shown for their customers.

Merry Christmas to everyone at Syabas Smile
I Heart you guys.

i cannot try it at the moment, because i'm not at home, so i just ask...

2. NTFS driver update, now supporting NTFS write

does this mean it is no longer necessary to format an ext HD as ext3? does the a-110 'read' the ntfs format as well?

or can it only write on usb/ext hd, like apps?

I notice the very same thing with the new SHUFFLE feature! Even a folder with all MP3 files will only shuffle through about 4 songs (out of many) then return to main menu. In a music folder that had MP3 and FLAC files, I found that no media files would play after it returned to main menu. Had to hard reboot in order to operate the codecs again.

Won't be using SHUFFLE till this gets fixed...

NO... Just follow the instructions carefully and DO NOT select the option that says it will format your HDD.

OK... the music playback is really broken with this latest firmware. Any mode of music playback (repeat all, or shuffle) will eventually stop play and return to menu. After that, I must hard reboot the box in order to play any media (audio or video) files. (I use HDD file storage only.)

Music and video playback are important to me, so hoping for a bug fix real soon.

I went back to the older release of August. This one doesn't play music that good and I have to reboot to often to play movies.
