With this firmware you can also write to NTFS formatted USB drives. This means you can format your USB HDD in Windows without any additional drivers for ext3, connect it to your PCH and copy files from internal drive to USB drivex. I find it useful, when my internal HDD got full, I had to download all conent to my PC only to archive it then to USB drive (since I was not able to format it in ext3 nor get my WinXP PC to support ext3). Now, I can connect drive to PCH directly and copy anything from popcorn to USB connected drive from the command line. |

After that, I must hard reboot the box in order to play any media (audio or video) files. (I use HDD file storage only.) Same problem here, I was really excited to see shuffle, and now its broken music playback

RE: [A-110] Firmware 01-17-101217-15-POP-403 (00-17-091216-15-POP-403 Apps)
Even more problems with audioplaying using the new firmware.
First part of audio is heavily muted. It lasts for 0,5-1 sec. And it is the same regardless if it is FLAC or mp3. And the bug that makes the player stop after a track is still there. The muting is an HDMI issue, I found out. I had HDMI audio turned off, I thought. But after the upgrade it was turned on without my knowledge. After turning it off again, it went back to the old issue with a few 1/100 sec cut at the beginning of a track. I also found out that it not only doesn't skip to the next track when expected, it also stops playing in the middle of a track. That has happended at least two times this evening!! I have used SMB only so far. I have started several UPnP service on my network, and the A-110 do not find them all. After a reboot it find some of them, after another reboot it find others. But very rarely all!!!! What can I do about this. My PS3 finds them all, always! |

2. NTFS driver update, now supporting NTFS write
does this mean i can format the internal drive to ntfs and use it as normal (internal), only no nmt apps? |

File Mode button always works
From external USB device, as well from any mapped network share. But I guess now, one can install the NMT apps, then take out the drive, and reformat the biggest partition to NTFS. That should work too.

RE: [A-110] Firmware 01-17-101217-15-POP-403 (00-17-091216-15-POP-403 Apps)
Hi, first of all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all community!
Secondly, great thanks for A-110 support! Well, now my observation of using new shuffle feature. I activate shuffle while playing m3u playlist of FLAC tracks - and just after finishing playing first track system stops playback and returns to folder view. Moreover, now I see (even after reboot) that normal playing mode - either of folder or of m3u playlist - suddenly stops (not only while skipping to next track but also during playing track) and system returns to folder view. Will try to roll back to previous firmware because now I just can't play audio normally. I see some guys before also experience some troubles with playing audio after introduction of new shuffle mode, so there is some room for bugfixing. |
